Weekend to Ruidoso, New Mexico

Bryan and I wanted to get away for the weekend, so we booked a cabin in Ruidoso and had a perfect weekend in the mountains. The sleepy town was so quiet & peaceful. There weren't too many tourist in town since the ski lift was still closed. We shopped and found a little wine bar where we sat, drank wine and played games. Then later we drove up the mountain to see the view, take pictures and go hiking. It was so pretty with the snow falling. It was soo cold! (Next time I am packing more warm stuff.) That night we went to dinner at Willmon's and it was delicious! It was very nice and romantic. If you want a nice place for dinner I recommend it. Great date night. The next day we slept in, well Bryan did and I read my book in bed, and then we ate breakfast in town. On our way back to El Paso, we stopped at a winery where they also grew pistachios. It was a great weekend to say the least. I can't wait to go back!

My Little Hampton

Hampton is growing up so quickly! He is 8 months and growing bigger every second! He's full of curls and he's such a cuddler. He loves playing at the office and is my little guard dog.

Road Trip to El Paso

When we got the news a hail storm hit El Paso, we packed up what we could fit in my Jeep and we headed to good ole west Texas. I have the best BF in the world. Leslie came with me on the long journey so I would not have to drive 9 hours by myself. Bryan left town before me to get our apartment set up so everything would be ready when I got there. Leslie and I planned the best road trip. We stopped every 3 hours to stretch our legs and let Hampton go potty. We stopped in the cutest town called Marfa, TX. We had lunch at Pizza Foundation and even saw the Prada store leaving town. The best surprise was finding a winery in the middle of nowhere!!! SO, of course we had to stop and do a tasting ;) Don't worry, we only had a few sips but we did buy a couple bottles to celebrate with once we arrived in town.
